On Friday, December 16th, the students were challenged to present their lamp designs as part of the CAX (Computer Integrated Design and Digital Fabrication) course offered at the University of Applied Sciences Munich. The individual designs had been developed as part of the project PAPER LAMP DESIGN by the 3rd Term students at Hochschule München together with Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Ruth Berktold and her team Prof. Fabian Scheurer, Peter Ciganek, Markus Gehrle and Luis Pozo. The Folded Paper Lamps proceeded a whole design process up to the point where the students translated their design into a 3D model and finally into a laser file to create these complex figures. To light the atrium of Hochschule München with the different lamp designs the material had been provided with a protective anti-burn surface. The good results can be seen in the atrium of Hochschule München, Karlstraße 6, during the season.
